New DI-STRIP® PDU From Knürr Featuring An Integrated Ampere Meter

Arnstorf [04.03.2008] – Knürr, a leading provider of structured rack cabling systems, is to add seven additional models to its extensive range of DI-STRIP socket strips this spring. The new socket strips will feature integrated ampere meters with highly visible LCD displays.

Many network administrators have been waiting for this news. The new DI-STRIP socket strips make it considerably easier to monitor the power consumption in network racks.
The ampere meter measures the power consumption per phase and subsequently shows the real effective value on the LCD display.
Phase symmetry is also monitored (unbalanced-load warning system) and any changes in the phase current which occur are signalized.

Administrators can easily and conveniently take readings from the display at any time and regardless of where the socket strip is installed in the rack. This is because the display can be swiveled in 90° steps.  The background illumination of the LCD display is automatically dimmed after 90 minutes, thereby helping to save energy and reduce costs. The new DI-STRIP socket strips lead to greater efficiency in computer centers.

“The particular advantage of the new display is the fact that it complies with the EMC directives which are necessary in computer centers. This is without doubt a unique feature in this product segment,” said Product Manager Thomas Hofbauer.

The socket strips are available in the following designs:

DI-STRIP PizzaPower M 230V/32A 7 x IEC60320 Sheet F
DI-STRIP PizzaPower M 400V/32A 21 x IEC60320 Sheet F
