The further development of Knürr AG’s Rack Monitoring System (RMS-compact II) now provides a ground-breaking solution for the physical protection of data center infrastructures.
Knürr, an IT specialist and data center furnisher and equipper, knows that monitoring operating conditions is an indispensable element for every IT infrastructure with business-critical applications. Developed precisely for highly sensitive server environments, RMS-compact II demonstrates how the management of incidents, statistics and configurations can also be performed remotely. This is just one of the advantages that make this proactive safety/security solution so much better than competitor products. 12 sensor connections can also be flexible seized: from the smallest sensor through to messaging on the optionally available external display, RMS-compact II incorporates the complete security management for individual racks, data centers and complete buildings and production processes. With its Plug & Play capability, RMS-compact II enables the implementation of individual security solutions. All recorded ambient values can consequently be logically linked in a freely programmable filter system. Automatic alarm signals are generated as a reaction to specific incidents and/or switching sequences are activated. RMS-compact II is controlled via HTTPS, the standard for the encrypted transfer of data between browser and web server. Fast Ethernet enables rapid data exchanges between RMS-compact II and all other devices connected in the local network; alarms are signaled with RMS-compact II via e-mail or SNMP traps and logged per Syslog. RMS-compact II also has an extended user administration system and can be easily integrated into all standard network management systems. Effective prevention, comprehensive security and central organization – Knürr’s RMS-compact II represents a flexible form of safeguarding of business-critical processes (Business Critical Continuity). |
