DI-STRIP from Knürr – Another first: Precise power and cooling requirement estimates in data centers |
 |
 |
[Arnstorf, 31 July 2008] – With the expansion of its extensive DI-STRIP Series socket strip range with seven new socket strips, including integrated ampere meters, Knürr AG is specifically reacting to the continuing demand for measurable and planable energy requirements in data centers.
DI-STRIP not only measures power consumption per phase and shows the real effective value on an LCD display – the solution also works with 0.5% tolerance accuracy and is the frontrunner in meeting the requirements of EMC directives in the professional socket strip segment. To date integrated power consumption measurements in server racks have only been able to provide estimate values, that only applied to servers, and not to additional devices.
DI-STRIP now immediately enables a precise power consumption display and helps IT responsible people to forecast the required cooling power, which they can then consequently influence. Intelligent features, such as flexible rotation of the LCD display, simplify horizontal or vertical rack installation, Syslog logging, unbalanced-load warning when a limit value is exceeded, and consistent phase loading make DI-STRIP an indispensable server rack component in modern data centers.
An intelligent remote monitoring module perfectly and logically rounds off the socket strip portfolio, ands leaves no customer requests unanswered.
With the aid of the new Knürr solution, IT managers can now optimally monitor their power supply system and contribute to continuous efficiency enhancement. |
