Founded by Hans Knürr. In the years that followed, the first product lines were developed – including racks, enclosures, and equipment carts.

Launch of the first control console product line – Dacobas.

Knürr becomes highly sought-after and is first acquired by the 3i Group. In 2006, Knürr becomes part of EMERSON before being integrated into the VERTIV Group in 2016.

The VERTIV Group, to which Knürr belongs, goes public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The control room solutions business unit is expanded to include dedicated functions for production, warehousing, procurement, shipping, quality, human resources, and finance.

Following a management buy-out, Knürr returns to the market under its original brand name – with a clear identity, independent positioning, and a new visual appearance.
