Workstations in control centres, control rooms and monitoring rooms are in constant use. With Knürr Care Packages, we help operators to plan for service, maintenance and spare parts supply – from standard warranty cover to preventive annual maintenance as part of the Full Care Package.
Control room workstations are a central component of critical operating environments. Regular maintenance helps to detect wear and tear at an early stage, prevent malfunctions and ensure the long-term availability of the workstations.
Benefits:
Greater predictability during ongoing operations
Early detection of technical anomalies
Support for long-term operational reliability
Structured maintenance and spare parts processes
Preservation of the workstation solution’s value
Knürr Care Packages offer a range of service options – from the Standard Warranty to extended support with annual preventive maintenance. This allows the service to be tailored to the criticality of the control room, internal operational requirements and the desired level of protection.
a.) Standard Warranty
Suitable for non-safety-critical areas. Statutory warranty, helpdesk during regular office hours, spare parts following return for repair, on-site service on request.
b.) Essential Care
Suitable for critical 24/7 environments. Extended coverage period, helpdesk during regular office hours, spare parts provided in advance, on-site replacement and repair by arrangement.
c.) Full Care
Suitable for critical 24/7 environments with a preventive maintenance approach. Extended coverage, helpdesk during regular office hours, on-site services by arrangement and annual preventive maintenance.
As part of the Full Care package, the annual preventive maintenance service involves a structured inspection of the control room workstation. During this process, key functions and components are checked, documented and, where necessary, repaired within the scope of normal use.
System diagnostics
Software update, if required
Inspection of the entire lifting mechanism
Check of cables and connectors
Replacement of defective components within the scope of normal use
Preparation of a maintenance report
If a fault occurs or a spare part is required, the procedure depends on the service package selected. Depending on the scope of the package, spare parts are supplied either after the unit has been returned, in advance, or as part of agreed on-site services.
Our service packages help you to deal with technical issues in a structured manner – with designated contact persons, transparent processes and coordinated services. This ensures that service remains predictable and transparent for operators.
Service and maintenance should be taken into account right from the planning stage. This is because accessibility, spare parts processes, maintenance windows and operational procedures all influence the long-term usability and cost-effectiveness of a control room workstation.
Knürr incorporates service right from the start – from planning through to manufacturing, installation and commissioning, right through to long-term support. This enhances investment security, reduces the need for coordination at a later stage and simplifies operation throughout the entire life cycle.
This fits very well with Knürr’s existing positioning as a one-stop provider of control room solutions – including planning, production, integration and service.
Whether it’s Standard Warranty, Essential Care or Full Care – we can advise you on which service package best suits your workplace solution, your operational structure and your availability requirements.

General enquiries
Why is regular maintenance important in a 24/7 operation?
Control centre and control room workstations are in constant use. Regular maintenance helps to identify wear and tear at an early stage, prevent breakdowns and ensure the long-term availability of the workstations.
What exactly do I get out of a maintenance package?
A maintenance package makes it easier to plan operating costs. It helps to maintain the value of workstations, reduces the risk of unplanned downtime and facilitates structured support throughout the entire service life. Furthermore, it helps to avoid costly repairs and unplanned downtime.
What is checked during a service?
Maintenance involves the systematic inspection of all relevant components and functions, in particular the mechanical components, cabling, electrical safety and system functionality. This includes, amongst other things, functional and safety checks, software updates where necessary, and structured documentation containing recommendations for action.
What happens if there is a fault or if a spare part is needed?
The procedure depends on the service package selected. Depending on the scope of the service, spare parts are supplied after the item has been returned, in advance, or as part of agreed on-site services.
Why should service and maintenance be taken into account right from the planning stage?
A service concept agreed at an early stage helps to ensure investment security, availability and predictable lifecycle costs. At the same time, it makes it easier to integrate subsequent maintenance, spare parts processes and on-site visits into day-to-day operations.
Can I customise the services?
Yes, our warranty and maintenance packages are designed to be flexible and can be tailored precisely to your requirements. This means you get exactly the solution that suits your business.
What does an on-site maintenance visit involve?
Maintenance is agreed in advance and coordinated in such a way as to minimise disruption to day-to-day operations.
Can repairs be carried out directly at the control centre?
Yes, on-site replacements or repairs are carried out depending on the service package and prior agreement. This makes it easier to tailor these measures to operational processes, shift patterns and the requirements of the control room.
